An exciting milestones for our Year 11 students is the opportunity to design and order their Year 12 Leavers Jacket — a symbol that marks the transition into their final year of schooling.
The jacket is more than just a piece of clothing. It represents the culmination of years of hard work, dedication and personal growth. For many students, receiving their jacket signifies the "beginning of the end" of their high school journey. It is a tangible reminder that they are about to embark on their final year, with all the challenges, celebrations, and achievements that await. The jacket also brings the Year 12 group together under one shared banner, creating a sense of unity and pride as they prepare to graduate.
This year, a committed group of Year 11 students worked closely with Exodus Wear to design a jacket that reflects their unique identity while also paying tribute to the school they have called home. The design beautifully captures the spirit of the cohort, with elements that honour the traditions and values of St George’s Anglican Grammar School.
Last week, detailed instructions on how to order the jackets were shared with our Year 11 students. The enthusiasm was clear — some orders were completed within minutes of the announcement!
We remind all Year 11s that the deadline for ordering their Leavers Jackets is the end of this term. This ensures the jackets will be ready and waiting for them when they start their final year in 2025. We are eagerly looking forward to seeing the graduating class of 2025 proudly wearing their Leavers Jackets next year, a symbol of their achievements and the exciting journey that lies ahead.
With the conclusion of the Mock Exams this week and the successful wrap-up of World of Work Week, our Year 12 students are approaching a significant and exciting phase of their school journey. As we look ahead to Term Four, there are several key events to mark in your calendars as we celebrate and support our graduating class of 2024.
