Division Athletics

Congratulations to our stars who attended Division Athletics, Haudson finished 6th in the 100M Dash and 7th in the High Jump, Lukas finished 10th in the Shotput and Ava finished 6th in the Discus. We are very proud of you!

Good luck to our Volleyball team who are off to the Division final on Monday at Tucker Road Primary School.

Futsal Gala Day

Futsal Gala Day - Jade

On Monday, the 16th of October, all year 5/6s hopped on a bus to head to Springers. There were 5 teams and right as we got there the girls played their first game against Saint Patrick’s.

 It was very confusing how to play, but we got the hang of it, and Ash scored 1 goal and Ivy scored 2 top bins from far out. We drew 3-3 and had a break, and watched some other teams play before our next game. 

Our second game was against one of the Sirius College teams. They were a bit rough, but quite good, the scores ended up being 2-0 and it was a loss for us. We went to the bathroom, had some food and watched a few more games before playing Parktone. Parktone was going to be good, they had won their last two games by quite a bit and we were a bit intimidated and scared. We also lost that game 2-0, they had a girl who was very good and she got the two goals, but other than that, we had a few shots at goal and just missed.

Our last and final game was ages away, so the girl’s team went and practised kicking and goalkeeping. We headed over to our game and watched a few more games just before our game. It was scary to watch and ít was a tough game, but we finally won 1-0 and got our first win!!  

Overall the school came back with 2 wins for the day, futsal isn’t my sport, but the teams we played were very good.
