Faith Matters

at St Francis Xavier School

Dear St Francis Xavier Families,

MULTICULTURAL MASS

We are looking forward to the Multicultural Mass this Sunday, 10am at St John's.  I am absolutely thrilled with the number of students who have volunteered to sing in the choir for this special celebration.  We would love to see you there and you are welcome to join in the luncheon and activities afterwards.

FRIDAY WHOLE SCHOOL PRAYER

As PE now takes place on a Wednesday, we have moved Whole School Prayer to Friday morning.  Please come along and join your child's class at 8:50am, younger siblings also welcome. We've been getting some really lovely feedback from parents like "What a great way to start the day!" and "I need to come to this more often." And, of course, the children love having their families in to share the experience.

Last term, our Year 5 students worked in teams to research and create our Whole School Prayers. They have developed some very diverse and creative offerings and I look forward to Sam, Max and Mariana leading the prayer tomorrow.

I am sharing a couple of the slides from the presentations created by the Year 5s who have already facilitated their Whole School Prayers.

Alisha, Amelia and Willow's Prayer Service focused on the Creation Story and looking after our earth.

SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION

The Yr 6s are in the midst of their Confirmation learning and in a couple of weeks, 12 of them will receive the sacrament.  Bishop Tony Ireland will meet with the candidates prior to Confirmation and also lead the sacramental mass in conjunction with Fr Chinua and Fr Jude.

God's blessings and best wishes,
