Lightning Premiership

The two rules they had to follow throughout the games were "Do your best " and "Have fun". Our kids surely did their best and had lots of fun. 

Maths

We have had a focus on Multiplication and Division as we started Term 4. We have been learning different ways to solve 1X2 digit and 2X2 digit multiplication problems, not using an algorithm. It is important for students to have multiple strategies up their sleeve and also to solve problems where they are able to explain their thinking and processes. We then used these same strategies to solve division problems. 

This week we have started our unit of Measurement where we have been experimenting with Mass, Capacity and Volume. We will continue to learn the formula we can use to calculate some of these measurements in real-life maths problems. 

Education in Faith

Towards the end of Term 3 and start of this term we have had a few groups share their prayer services with the whole school as part of 'Whole School Morning Prayer.' It has been amazing to see the students step up, overcome some fears, support each other, work as a team in order to create and present these prayer services.

Here are some of the powerpoint presentations the groups have made, where each of the classroom teachers shared with their class for that morning prayer time.
