BSC Job Camp

On Tuesday and Wednesday last week some of our Year 9 and 10 students participated in the BSC Job Camp. The camp, which is held onsite and covers two days, trains students in First Aid and Hospitality to assist with gaining employment.

On the first day, students underwent barista training, in which they learnt how to make hot chocolates and different types of coffee. They also learned how to wait a table correctly and how to carry and serve beverages.

The second day saw another group of students undergo First Aid training, including learning how to perform CPR, dress wounds and attend to injuries. These skills are invaluable and will undoubtedly come in handy at some point in the future.

Students who successfully participated in the program received a certificate of accreditation, to be added to their resume for future reference.
