LEADERSHIP TEAM

Mr. Justin Matt, Mr. Brad Vallance, Mr. Josh Willersdorf

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,

I hope this message finds you all rejuvenated after a wonderful term break, filled with fantastic memories with loved ones, especially during the Easter Long Weekend.

As we step into Term 2 with anticipation and energy, I extend a warm welcome back to each one of you. This term promises to be significant, marked by various key events inclusive of camps, excursions, extracurricular activities and senior school mid-year exams.

We commenced the term on a positive note, witnessing the enthusiasm and dedication of both students and staff. The recent Outdoor Education Camp stands as a testament to this spirit, fostering teamwork and personal development among our students. The feedback received from participants underscores its value extending beyond the confines of the classroom.

I am pleased to acknowledge the exemplary leadership demonstrated by our student leaders during the whole-school assembly on April 24th, where we commemorated ANZAC Day. College Captains Regan and Molly, along with our student leadership team, orchestrated a memorable assembly, paying tribute to the sacrifices of our servicemen and women. Additionally, Regan and Molly represented our college admirably at yesterday's ANZAC Day Service at Barclay Square, Red Cliffs.

I would like to take this opportunity to extend a heartfelt congratulations to Krysten Gers on the arrival of her baby boy, Joshua James, on April 20th. While his early arrival may have caught us by surprise, we are thrilled to hear that both Krysten and Joshua are doing really well.

Today, our Year 7 students participated in Resilience Day at Kings Billabong, engaging in a variety of team-building activities, both on land and in water, including canoeing. A huge thanks to our Year 7 Coordinator Dmitri Milde and Jenifer Chatfield our Sub School Leader for organising this event providing a wonderful opportunity for our year 7 cohort.

Looking ahead, on Wednesday, May 1st, we are hosting our Grade 7 Information Evening, coupled with a Sports Academy Information session. The evening kicks off at 5:30pm, offering prospective Year 7 students and their families an opportunity to tour the school, meet future teachers, and gain insights into the exciting curriculum awaiting them in 2025. The Sports Academy component will follow at 6:30pm in the Activity Centre, where interested students can interact with coaches and learn more about our Sports Academy Program.

As we dive into the remainder of Term 2, I would like to thank all families and community members for their ongoing support. Let us continue to embrace learning opportunities, celebrate achievements, and support one another in our educational journey.
