Italian Day 21st May 2024
We are delighted to say there are only four more sleeps to our ITALIAN DAY FUN!
Just some highlights on what to expect on the day:
- Children are encouraged to come dressed in Italian colours: bianco (white), rosso (red) or verde (green). If they have their own cultural clothing they are welcome to wear this as well.
- Children are to pack a light lunch as a small bowl of pasta and gelato will be served for lunch. All dietary requirements will be catered for.
- Children will be making Italian biscuits (Savoiardi/ sponge fingers) which they will bring home to eat.
- Children will take part in some traditional dancing.
- Children will be involved in an incursion where they will be taken through the history of Italians arriving and settling in Australia and finding some of the differences whilst at the same time holding onto the customs and traditions that are still important today.
Buon divertimento a tutti.
