Focus for all students - mobile phones

It is a Victorian Government requirement that students who choose to bring mobile phones to school must have them switched off and securely stored during school hours.

As of Monday, there will be an increased focus on mobile phones that are not securely stored in lockers. Students who have a mobile phone with them during the school day (ie: in a pocket, on a desk, in a hand) will be required to immediately report to a Sub-School Office and hand the phone into the Year Level Team.

Students' mobile phones must be switched off and secured in their locker during the school day. Students must leave their phones in their locker when collecting equipment for period 1, and they must not access their phone again until returning to their locker at the end of period 6.

The HPP/ASP teachers and S&C coaches have reviewed mobile phone use and believe there are benefits to not having phones in HPP/ASP. From Monday, there is no mobile phone exemption in HPP/ASP – alternative methods will be used to record training programs.

Phones will be stored securely for students to collect after 3:10pm.

IDAHOBIT Day

It was great to see so many students in casual clothes on Friday, donating money to support IDAHOBIT Day: International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, Transphobia and discrimination toward intersex people and gender diverse people. Supporting and promoting IDAHOBIT day means strengthening human rights for everyone in our community.

At lunchtime our student leaders sold rainbow treats to raise further funds for charity Rainbow Families, as the College gathered to mark this important day.
