Celebrating Taylor Chick-Sauer's Equestrian!

Let's give a huge round of applause to our very own Taylor Chick-Sauer for her outstanding performance at the Equestrian NSW Interschool Championships!

Preliminary Dressage: 6th Place

Novice Dressage: Reserve Champio

Combined Training: 3rd Place

Taylor's remarkable talents have not only earned her individual accolades but have also placed Armidale Secondary firmly on the equestrian map!

But wait, there's more! Taylor is gearing up for another major competition in Tamworth and has been selected to represent the state team for her exceptional achievements!

Let's show Taylor our support and pride as she continues to soar to greater heights in the world of equestrian sports!

What an incredible journey it's been for Luke Whitty and Lucy Deiderick representing NSW at the U16’s National Hockey Championship in Hobart!

Lucy showed true leadership as captain in the grand final, leading her team to a well-deserved silver medal. Not only that, but she also showcased her skills by winning player of the game in one of her matches!

Meanwhile, Luke Whitty battled it out with the Blues team, finishing strong in 5th place out of 12 teams. It was a tight competition, and although they missed out on the finals by just one point, Luke's determination and effort throughout the tournament were truly commendable.

Congratulations to both Luke and Lucy for their outstanding performances and for representing ASC with pride! Here's to many more successes on the hockey field!

Amazing news to share!

Let's all give a huge round of applause to Lachlan Taylor, one of our talented students!

Lachlan secured the first spot with an impressive 77 Gross on a 71 par. Out of 19 secondary students who competed, he's one of the top 4 selected to represent us at the NSWCHSSA Golf State Championships in June!

Way to go, Lachlan! We're incredibly proud of your achievement!

We're thrilled to share the incredible achievement of our very own school captain, Oscar!

Oscar continues to showcase outstanding dedication and skill, representing our school

with excellence. Let's celebrate his remarkable accomplishment together!

CHS Swimming

Our ASC students who swam in individual events represented the school incredibly well!

We saw some big PBs, some finals swims, and excellent sportsmanship throughout the day.

ASC should be very proud of these achievements!

Unfortunately, the relay events were cancelled which was a disappointing outcome for those students.

However, well done to all our swimmers for showing tenacity and sportsmanship regardless!

Congratulations to Sophia-Rose!

Sophia-Rose, one of our highly talented Year 12 students and a valued member of our captain team, competed yesterday in the final of the NSW Public Speaking - Plain English Speaking Award alongside Noel Arafat. We are thrilled to announce that shehas successfully advanced to the next stage of the competition!

Her powerful speech on the subject of reconciliation in Australia left a lasting impact on the judges and audience alike. We are incredibly proud of her achievement and can't wait to see her continue to shine in the upcoming rounds.

Let's all give a big round of applause to Sophia-Rose and Noel for their hard work and dedication!

ASC Talented Artist

We are thrilled to inform you that the following students are among a group of 60 finalists in the 2024 University of New England School Acquisitive Art Prize. This is an amazing achievement given there were 553 art entries this year from 46 schools!

The selection committee commented on the wonderful expression of creativity and diverse styles represented, making the selection process very difficult due to the high standard across all entries.

Congratulations to our talented artists!

Let's celebrate their incredible accomplishments and support their creative journeys!

A massive congrats to Yr 10 student Oliver Stubbs

Oliver Stubbs competed in the CHS open boys basketball championships in Coffs Harbour last week. The North West team Olwent on to win the championships, which was a significant achievement given that North West had never previously made a final, their best previous result being third. On the way to winning, they defeated Sydney South West in the semi-final and then South Coast in the final. Oliver was the only year 10 child in the team and the only representative from the New England area (all the other team members were from Tamworth/Quirindi).

Congrats Oliver great achievement.

9/10 NSW Touch North West Gala Day Champions!

Congratulations to our girls' team for becoming the North West champions!

They played brilliantly and are now off to the State finals!

Our boys' team also put in a fantastic effort, bowing out before the semi-finals with only 2 subs on a warm Tamworth day. Great play, boys!
