Student achievements

Congratulations to the following students who competed at the Coles Australian Little Athletics Championships held in Adelaide from 26-28 April.

Congratulations to the following students who competed at the Melbourne International Open Judo competition on 13 April, followed by the Judo Tasmania state titles which were held in Launceston on Sunday 5 May. 

 

Rose Smith (Year 10), who received bronze at the Open, in her age division, Cadets. Rose also fought up an age division—at the same event—into Junior Womens', holding her own to finish fifth. After competing in the state competition, Rose has earned the title of State Judo Champion for both Cadet U63 and Junior Womens' U63.

Macey Hayes (Year 5) who received bronze at the Open Judo competition, despite being the youngest in her division. Continuing her successful run, Macey competed in the Judo Tasmania state titles on Sunday 5 May, where she was crowned two-time gold medallist. 

 

Macey's sister Taylah Hayes (Year 12) also fought hard at the state titles, coming away with two gold medals in her respective divisions. Congratulations to you both.

Phoebe Wiss (Year 10), who has been accepted into the Theatre Royal's inaugural Future Stages program for 2024. The program aims to provide students in Years 10 to 12 who have a strong interest in performing arts with an opportunity to experience productions and participate in discussions and workshops that connect them more closely with the performing arts sector. Well done, Phoebe!
