What Makes Mount Beauty Special?

Students in Class 5/6 are painting a mural with Nicole.  The inspiration behind their design is what makes Mount Beauty special?  On a black backdrop students will be painting our river, mountains, bogong moths and more with white paint.  This is currently a work in progress and is happening on the verandah outside the Prep/1 - 1 space.

This week the sketching of the mural has now been done.

Students in prep/1, 1/2 and 3/4 this afternoon welcomed Bettina in to our art space with Emily.  Bettina bought along her spinning wheel and showed the students how wool is spun using raw fleece then she carded it so it was fluffy and then spun it onto the bobbin.

This term they are exploring texiles using fibres, threads and other materials.
