STEM

As part of their physics unit the Grade Prep students will be constructing a marble track to explore rolling and sliding. Could you please bring in some cardboard boxes to assist with this project. We will be constructing the track in Week 9 and 10 of this term. It would be fantastic if you could bring in some boxes between now and them.

Nude Food Friday

On Friday Miss Middlin will be running a Nude Food competition. This competition is aiming to promote sustainability across the school. Nude Food is simply food that is not wrapped in foil, plastic or commercial packaging.

On Friday selected students will be allocated a time to survey classes to see how many have brought Nude Food to school. The class with the most students with the most Nude Food will receive the Nude Food Medal for the week.

Well done to ⅚ MM who had the most students with Nude Food for two weeks in a row.. Let’s see who can take out the title this week.

Every fortnight we will be having a STEM question for students to answer. The questions will be posted in the school's newsletter. These questions will not be compulsory, but will be a bit of fun and a challenge for students. Students can write their answer on a piece of paper and place it in the appropriate box inside the STEM room. At the end of the week Miss Middlin will do a lucky dip and select one student from Prep- 2 will receive a small science related prize.

Well done to last week’s winner Oscar from Grade 2. This week’s question is found below.

What items roll and what items slide?
