Religious Education 

What a fantastic day we all had with a visit from Andrew Chinn, a renowned Australian religious songwriter, performer and singer. 

Classes rotated throughout the day and every child was given the opportunity to join in or if they wished to, lead in dance and back up vocals. Miss Maggie and Mr Garner were fortunate enough to experience this day again, joining in as teachers and not the young students at Sacred Heart 20 years ago. 

Andrew’s songs, such as “These Hands” (Celebrating 20 Years), “Rainbow”, “An African Blessing” and “Rise Up!” are sung in our classrooms, assemblies and liturgies as well as throughout Australia, New Zealand, USA and Canada. 

The whole school came together for a concert during the final session of the day. The fun and excitement on the faces of our children, staff and families that attended was a delight for all to see.
