CULINARY CHALLENGE 2024

On Friday, 10th of May, St Mary MacKillop College kicked off the first round of the Murray River Culinary Challenge. Despite a smaller team, the excitement was big as Grace Gibson and Mawa Abitama geared up for the culinary showdown.

Grace and Mawa whipped up a two-course meal of fish, chips and garden salad and a decadent mille-feuille dessert within a set time frame. Grace and Mawa showcased their culinary skills for two local prominent chefs, Chris Porter from The Port and Ryan Box from Orange Door Catering. They assessed the student's workflow, cooking skills and overall presentation of their meals. 

Congratulations to Grace and Mawa for their outstanding performance in the Challenge. Their hard work and dedication have earned them a well-deserved spot in the Regional Final on August 2nd.
