Congratulations to our outstanding String students! We are thrilled to announce the remarkable achievements of our talented string students at the recent QLD Fanfare competition. Their hard work, dedication, and passion for music have truly paid off, earning them well-deserved recognition.

Our Grade 4 Intermediate String Ensemble performed exceptionally well, impressing the judges and securing a prestigious Silver Award. Their commitment to excellence and their ability to perform with such precision and artistry is truly commendable. This accomplishment is a testament to their hard work.

Our Grade 5 and 6 Senior String Ensemble delivered an outstanding performance that earned them a Gold Award. Their performance was a beautiful blend of skill, harmony, and emotion, captivating the audience and judges alike. This gold award is a reflection of their talent, teamwork, and countless hours of practice.

We are incredibly proud of all our string students and their achievements at QLD Fanfare. Their success not only highlights their individual talents but also the strong music program we have here at our school.

Congratulations once again to our Grade 4 Intermediate String Ensemble and Grade 5 and 6 Senior String Ensemble for their outstanding performances. We look forward to many more musical triumphs in the future!

Band

The Tallebudgera Senior Concert recently competed in the biannual Fanfare for Bands competition. They played extremely well and achieved a Silver award for their performance in the division 2 category. This competition sees over 200 bands compete from all across South East region, and it was great to have the students out enjoying the experience of performing music for their peers.

I haven't received the detailed adjudication yet but look forward to feedback and working towards improvements for the Gold Coast Eisteddfod next term. I want to thank all parents and students on their efforts in preparing for this competition.

Choir

Thank you to both the Senior and Junior choirs for their enthusiastic performances amongst wet weather for the Junior choir and windy weather for the Senior choir.  The students enthusiasm surpassed the weather conditions.  A belated thank you also to the Senior choir for their musical item they sung on Anzac Day.  Both choirs are now preparing for the Eisteddfods in August next term which is an annual event at Tally that all the students are excited about.  Please encourage your children to practise singing their songs to you at home and thank you parents for all your support.
