Greening GSG - Principal Challenge #2

Tree Planting

As previously advertised, the school is hosting a mass tree planting at 3.30pm on 7 June 2024 outside the boarding houses.

Our goal is to plant 750 trees in one hour. The holes will be pre-dug, so our goal will be most definitely achievable.

We encourage all members of the community to register, bring along their gardening gloves, and help us to continue greening our campus and contribute to building a more sustainable future.

The planting will conclude with a sausage sizzle. This will be provided by the school.

Library News

Scholastic Book Club

Book Club forms were handed to classes last week and are due back on Friday 24 June by 9.00am. 

Issue Four pamphlets have already arrived and will go out at the end of Week Seven. The Issue Three pamphlets arrived late so there will be some overlap. We will send out the Issue Four pamphlets next week so that books are here before the end of term for anyone wishing to order.

There are two options for ordering.

1. Use your own Scholastic account to order and pay online. (Loop) If you would like to set up a new account go to: http://scholastic.com.au/register 
2. Please enclose cash with your completed order form. Orders brought to school must have the correct change. We do not keep cash in the Library. Cheques should be made payable to Scholastic Australia. Your completed forms can be handed into the library.
