Performing Arts & Music

The Foundation, Grade 1 and Grade 2 students have been enjoying integrating science into our Performing Arts lessons dutring the past couple of weeks. We are all very excited about the new frog bog coming to Monty and wanted to have some ‘frog themed’ lessons.

The students listened to the different sounds of the local frogs in our area and imitated these sounds using voice and instruments. The children particularly liked playing the frog guiro.

We have also read the Dreamtime story ‘Tiddalick The Frog Who Caused a Flood’ and have been acting out the story either as a class or in groups. The children have been working on using voice, body and movement to act as a character and have enjoyed performing to an audience.
