Celebrating Learning

This week, in mathematics we have been sorting and counting collections. 

In literacy, we continue our phonics learning and students have also been writing incredible recounts! Their writing has taken off this term! 

In play-based learning (PBL) we are focussing on including others. This sense of what it means to belong became the focus of our reconciliation discussions last week and from there it moved naturally into play. Students are exploring and strengthening their shared understanding of belonging with much enthusiasm. 

We are making a bed for Mahiro because he’s sleepy. We are making the pillow.

We take the sand from here to build here. We are taking turns because our feet get sore. 

Tegan & Morgan 

We’re building a fairy garden. We’re collecting things from the ground. This is a cucumber, and this is where we wash the dishes and keep the cumbers in the kitchen. This is a fairy bath, so if you are dirty you jump in the bath.

We’re playing hide and seek and she found me so we’re counting together. -

Let’s make a band! We’re making music. Let’s choose our instrument to make music. Percy you say a one, a two, a 1, 2, 3, 4!!
