Canine Comprehension
Students are half way through the Canine Comprehension program for Term 2. They have been lucky enough to work with Sherrice and Jonesy this term on the unit “Communication on the Inside and Out”. Over the past month the students have learnt about a range of topics and new skills. Students have learnt about worry, what it is and why we feel it. They have also identified a range of emotions, when they feel them and noticed the similarities between their peers, helping to develop empathy for those around them. In The past fortnight they have been exposed to positive self-talk and how it can support them when dealing with everyday situations. Furthermore, students learnt about the different types of wins they can experience in their lives and the importance of celebrating them. Below are some images of students working with Jonesy to get though a student-made obstacle course in our sensory room this week.
