Year 2
The Year Two Learners were lucky enough to share in the Sunday Parish Mass at St Mary’s on Sunday the 19th May. A beautiful morning was shared with our Year Two families and the Parishioners. Indie, Tilly and Soulbella shared some special Pentecost prayers with the congregation, and read beautifully. At the conclusion of mass, a morning tea was shared together.
Year Two Learners have also been very busy learning about the history and culture of Australia, in particular Echuca. For an Inquiry lesson, Learners activated their prior learning from their Literacy, and in small groups created and named their own punts to cross the Murray River from Echuca to Moama, just like the Founding Fathers James Maiden and Henry Hopwood. So much fun was had in the planning, creating and experimenting with their very own punts.
