In an exciting and educational activity, our students from 1 Silver and 3 Yellow learned the importance of recycling and sustainability by making their own recycled paper. Students of 1 Silver read an informative text about how paper is made and were eager to do it themselves. Using old newspapers and scrap paper, they transformed used materials into beautiful new sheets of paper through a hands-on process.
The students soaked, blended, and pressed the paper pulp, gaining a deeper understanding of how recycling helps save trees and reduce waste. They also had the opportunity to decorate their handmade paper with glitter and food colouring, adding a personal touch to their creations. This engaging lesson not only taught our learners practical recycling skills but also emphasised the importance of caring for our environment.
Well done, 1 Silver and 3 Yellow, for your wonderful efforts in sustainability!

The Music department hosted St Maroun's College to present a Music Showcase of talented performers from both schools. The students delivered diverse songs and melodies that transcend the ordinary and touched the soul; proving that the College has a dazzling array of talent and creativity.
The event was testament of both hard work and dedication by the HSC Music performers and Mr. Sedicol who have invested countless hours to perfect their vocal performances. We also witnessed up and coming performers from Stage 5 who we cannot wait to see develop into seasoned professionals.
I would like to thank Sister Margaret for allowing this collaborative event to happen and to our visiting guests from St Maroun's College for their invaluable support of the students. To Mr Sedicol and Mr Fredericks, for being the trusty accompanying musicians, roadies, and sound engineers to the students; and to our parents for their assistance in fostering a love of music in their children.
Lastly, thank you to the wonderful audience that came to the showcase to cheer on the performers. We wish the HSC Music students the very best on their way towards the HSC Music Performance examination next term.
