Principal report

Welcome Back to Term 4
Welcome back to Term 4! We have an exciting 11-week term ahead with many fun excursions, camps and events planned for our students. Some of the highlights this term include:
- Prep Camp Breakfast
- Grade 1/2 Excursion to the Werribee Zoo
- Grade 3/4 Day Camp
- Grade 5/6 Soccer Event
- Grade 6 Graduation
Our students are also busy preparing for the Arts Extravaganza … you might see some great dance moves (almost as good as mine from the Book Parade!).
Our 2026 Foundation students will soon begin their transition visits. They will explore our school, meet teachers, and experience what life is like as a Roxburgh Park Primary student.
Leadership Update
With Kate and Sarah finishing at the end of Term 3, the Department is now working through the process of appointing a new substantive Principal. This will be announced sometime after the Melbourne Cup long weekend.
In the meantime, I would like to thank our leadership team (Antonio, Belinda, Diana, and Jess) for taking on extra roles and supporting me in my new role as Acting Principal this term. A big thank-you also goes to all our staff for their ongoing commitment to teaching and learning, and for keeping the focus on students despite the leadership changes this year.
Learning and Reports
Towards the end of the term, teachers will be assessing student learning and preparing Semester 2 reports to go home. Families are always welcome to contact their child’s classroom teacher to talk about progress and find out how you can support learning at home.
