Henty Field Days

Henty Machinery Field Days
It was an early start for our Year 9 and 10 Agriculture students, with everyone on the bus and ready to head off to the Henty Machinery Field Days by 7:00 am. Joined by Ms Irons, Ms O’Mahoney, and Mr Shady, we set out for a full day of exploring everything agriculture has to offer.
Students had an assessment task to complete during the day, which got many of them out of their comfort zones as they interacted with stallholders and asked questions about the new technologies they were investigating. It was great to see so many students engaging with industry professionals and showing genuine interest in the future of farming.
After collecting all the information they needed, students had some free time to check out the hundreds of displays, stalls, and farm gear — and maybe do a little shopping too! Many Pig Chasing Australia bags made their way back onto the bus, along with a lot of tired but happy students (and teachers!).
All students are to be commended for their outstanding behaviour throughout the excursion. Several stallholders commented on how polite and engaged our students were, praising the thoughtful questions they asked.
