MITS End of Term One Community Wrap‑Up
As Term One draws to a close, we proudly acknowledge the resilience, growth, and determination our senior fellas continue to show across both their learning and boarding journeys. This term, students have embraced new challenges, strengthened friendships, and consistently lived the MITS values of Respect, Courage, Culture and Care.
A key strength of the MITS model is how our community connects students with culturally safe, supportive, and empowering learning environments across our Melbourne Pathways Schools. This term, we celebrate achievements from senior fellas attending Parade College, St Kevin’s College, Trinity Grammar School, Richmond High School, De La Salle College, Brighton Grammar School, and St Leonard’s College.

Parade College

Our De La Salle cohort—Anthony, Curtis, Christello, Jermaine, Keelan, Marius, and Evan—have enjoyed a term rich with purposeful learning, strong pastoral support, and community‑building experiences. In‑class learning support, sports carnivals, footy trials, and a dinner invitation to their peers from school have all contributed to a strong sense of belonging. The partnership between MITS and De La Salle continues to empower students with resilience, cultural pride, and confidence in their schooling journeys.
St Leonard’s College (Hampton) – Celebrating Des Morgan
Des Morgan has had an exceptional Term One, proudly representing himself and the MITS community both academically and in school sports. His strong engagement in the classroom, willingness to take on new challenges, and leadership within boarding life have been highlights. As a Year 12 student at Brighton Grammar and our only Year 12 student, Mara’s follows in the footsteps of his ancestors and forges a new pathway for others to follow.
Looking Forward
Our senior fellas have shown immense strength, pride, and perseverance this term. Their success is a reflection of the partnerships between MITS, families, Pathways Schools, volunteers, and the broader MITS community. As we head into Term Two, the fellas will face the challenge of improved attendance at school, giving one hundred per cent effort at homework, and look forward to continuing this journey—supporting our young people as they grow strong in identity, connected to community, and confident in their futures.
