Year 3/4 Report

Welcome back to another exciting term in Grade 3/4! 

This term we have so many things to look forward to including:

• camp - August 7th to 9th
• the Scholastic Book Fair - August 7th - 12th
• Book Week - August 19th - 23rd
• Science Week - August 27th and 
• Writer's Festival - September 5th. 

Literacy and Inquiry

This term in Inquiry we are exploring Australia before the British colonisation. We will be learning about the ways in which Aboriginal people lived, their culture and their Dreamtime. In Literacy we will be reading, viewing and writing Dreamtime inspired stories, immersing ourselves in the Aboriginal and Australian culture.

Numeracy 

This term in Numeracy, we will be learning about a variety of 2D and 3D shapes and their properties. We will learn about angles and patterns in shapes and our environment. This term we will also further develop or addition and subtractions skills in relation to money and time. 

Reminders

• School starts at 8:50am every morning
• Grade 3/4s are to be reading at home for 15 minutes every night
