Physical Education & Sport

with Miss Joannidis

Welcome back to an exciting Term 3 in Physical Education! We hope you had a fantastic break and are ready for some action-packed sports and activities. This term, we have loads of fun and skill-building sports planned for each grade level.

Preps to Grade 4:

This term, students be focusing on developing their one-handed striking skills. Through interactive games and drills, they will learn the proper techniques and improve their hand-eye coordination.

Grades 5-6:

Students in Grades 5 and 6 will be moving on from the one handed strike and putting this skill to work in net and wall games. From Volleyball to Badminton and other exciting games, they will learn how to work together as a team, develop their tactics, and refine their hand-eye coordination.

Athletics Day Practice and District Athletics

We've been hard at work preparing for Athletics Day! Friday week 3, we have a practice Athletics day scheduled with the help of the high school students of Roxburgh College to fine-tune our skills. It's going to be a fantastic opportunity to showcase our hard work. Mark your calendars for the District Athletics event on the 16th of August, where we will give it our all and compete against other schools in the area.

Tennis Gala day:

The District Tennis Hotshots event is scheduled for the 6th of September. Students will be working hard during lunch and recces coaching the team and developing their skills, ready to take on schools in the surrounding area. If you have any questions or need more information about our upcoming events, feel free to reach out to me.

Wishing you all a fantastic and active Term 3!
