News and Notices

From the Acting Principal

Welcome back to Term 3. I can not believe how fast this year is zooming by.

It was nice to see all the children's happy faces when they arrived back at school on the first day. I was amazed to see how much some of the children had grown over the two weeks away.

This upcoming term is not as busy as last term but we still have some events coming up in the next couple of weeks.

The search for our new principal has begun. At the moment it is just advertising the position and having people interested apply.

I love that this school is a base for the community. It is a place for them to come and play but we do expect those who visit our school to use our facilities, to treat it with the utmost respect. Please remind your children may they be young or old, to look after the school when they visit, like no swinging off our cool new basketball hoops, or moving the outdoor furniture around.

I'm looking forward to a good term ahead and can't wait to share all the fun things we do with you.  I'm hoping to add a couple of extra pages to the newsletter for each class to show their learning to date. Fingers crossed I can have this by the next newsletter.

Production

With great difficulty, we have made the decision to not put the production on for this year, which would have been held at the end of Term 3.

This decision was made after lots of consideration and long discussions with both Rachael and staff.  We know how important the production is to our little school but  we feel we could not have done it justice, especially  with everything that is happening at the moment and all the  changes. Fingers crossed we will be able to put it on next year. So watch this space!
