Principal's Message

Dear Families,

                             Hello and welcome back to everyone for the start of Term 3.

I am so excited to be joining the wonderful Wyndham Vale Primary School community. I want to thank everyone for the way I have been warmly welcomed to the school community by students, staff and families. I look forward to continuing to get to know everyone as the year progresses. 

I also would like to welcome some new staff who have joined us at WVPS this term.         Ms. Jaymi Ryan has joined our Year 3 community while Mr. Derk Clothier has commenced as a member of our Year 6 team. Ms. Ann White has also joined us at WVPS as an Art teacher. 

Parent Teacher Interviews.

This week, Parent Teacher Interviews have been held throughout the school. These conversations are very valuable in continuing to strengthen our home-school partnerships and provide a great opportunity to discuss and celebrate individual students and their development throughout the year to date. Thank you to everyone who has engaged in these conversations throughout the week.

Uniform

I have already been extremely impressed with our students and their commitment to wearing the school uniform proudly. With wintery conditions now well and truly settled in, just a reminder to all students to dress for the cooler weather conditions and to ensure that all items of clothing are clearly labelled. 

Upcoming School Events

We have several upcoming exciting events happening across the school. 

Next week our swimming program commences, with our first group attending lessons at Aqua Pulse. Swimming is such an important skill for all children to learn and this year’s program will involve essential skills including swimming strokes and water safety. If your child’s class is scheduled to attend the upcoming swimming program and you are yet to provide consent for your child to participate in the program, please do via the Compass portal.

We also have several students heading off to represent Wyndham Vale Primary School against other students from across Wyndham at the District Athletics Carnival on Wednesday 7th of August.  We wish them all the best in their events and are sure they will represent the school proudly.
