Principal's update

Hello everyone,

Here is the newsletter for week four of term three.

Reminder: 2024 Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey:

To date we have had 16 responses or 23 % of parents/carers

WE WANT OUR PARENTS / CAREGIVERS / GUARDIANS TO TELL US WHAT THEY THINK!

Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey offered by the Department of Education and is seeking your feedback. The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement. The survey is optional, but we encourage and appreciate your participation.

Our school will use the survey results to assist in identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies.

The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey will be open online until

 Friday 30 August 2024.

All families are invited to participate in the survey.

The survey will be conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones.

A link to complete the survey has been sent via Compass

2024 and beyond enrolments, school zone and school capacity

This term we welcomed three new students to our school and I have conducted a number of tours for enrolment at all year levels. The school has again been asked to enforce the neighbourhood zone when at capacity - we are not at capacity and currently have room for a few more students. At capacity anyone residing within the neighbourhood catchment and siblings of current students are guaranteed entry to Taradale PS, other enrolments are subject to class capacity.

We are still taking enrolments for 2024 Preps and other years.

Prep enrolments were due by the 26th of July inline with Government guidelines, but we can still accept enrolments.

If you know of anyone looking to enrol at Taradale, please let them know we aren't full and that we can accept enrolments from outside the neighbourhood catchment/zone.
