Dear Parents,

I would like to congratulate our Year 6 students on receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation yesterday in Westernport Parish. It was such a beautiful service with the heartfelt message from the Bishop to reach out and make a difference to the lives of people by doing generous actions.

By using the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit we can live spirit filled lives and have a positive impact on others.  Congratulations to Kaleb, Amy, Tahlia, Jade, Jacob, Zoe, Aston, Sebastian and Charlie.

Last Thursday, all three Parish schools came together for a wonderful day where Gen Bryant and her band led a spirit filled day where are Year 6 students reflected on how they can use the gifts and fruits of the spirit in their daily lives and how to step up, shout out, take action and be the best person they can be.

I would like to thank our senior team and Luke Hewitt our faith leader for preparing the students.

Our senior students also attended Urban camp and it was such a great experience for all. I was so impressed with their attitude and the way they all jumped into any experience with resilience, positivity and inclusivity.

A special thanks to Megan Williams for her leadership and organisation and to all camp staff who supported the students on the camp.

Students participated in a wonderful Indigenous immersion experience where they danced, sang and had a great time learning more about our first nations people and celebrating Naidoc week.

Finally it was green and gold on Friday with a great day of celebration for the  Olympics. Thanks to Emily Reed for her excellent organisation of the games and to our Year 6 house spirit leaders who were amazing at leading their house groups. The Olympics are such a special time where we see athletes putting their dispositions to the test providing such a great role model for everyone in how grit, determination and hard work all come together to celebrate their amazing efforts.

Yours in Partnership,

Gab
