Year -1/2 Unit

What a delight to have a whole day filled with Maths! From the excitement of our Mathlympics day to the involvement of family participating in our favourite Maths games and activities – it was a day spent with numbers, problem solving, sharing and cooperating. Thank you to the families who came along, and the students for all their energy and enthusiasm during the day. We hope you all enjoy taking some fun maths ideas home to play with your families.

We are continuing to investigate all things recycling. It has been encouraging to see how engaged and passionate students are in understanding the role we can play in protecting our environment and how our choices can impact the world we live in. We are continuing to learn how we can contribute to reducing waste and in being responsible for how we sort our rubbish, and in choosing reusable materials in our daily life. It has been interesting to hear some of the creative ways families recycle, reduce and reuse in their homes during show and tell.

We would like to congratulate also, the many recipients of the Mumumbura awards. The Year 1/2 Group has been busily collecting bee tokens and we are proud of the effort the students put into respecting and displaying the school values. Keep up the fabulous work!
