Foundation Unit

Last Thursday was a day of huge celebration. The Foundation students celebrated their 100th day of school! We began the day by writing about what we will do when we are 100 years old. After recess, each student created a portrait of themselves at 100, using various craft materials. These look absolutely fantastic and you’ll find them hanging on the walls outside each Foundation classroom.

After we had finished our portraits, the students were tasked with counting out 100 fruit loops using tens frames. They then threaded these onto a necklace.

In the lead up to the special day, each student wrote 1-2 reasons why they love our school. This is also on display in the corridor outside the classrooms.

It has been fantastic to see the enthusiasm and effort from both students and families leading up this day. Thank you to everyone who helped their child with their amazing costumes! It made the day extra special.
