Library News
As many of you will be aware, at the close of Term 2 we farewelled our long-time librarian,
Mrs Lynne Newberry. Lynne decided the time had come for her to retire and put her feet up.
As well as being sorely missed across her many roles, it also left a vacancy in the Library. We
are pleased to announce that, in addition to her education support work within the classroom, Andrea Smith has taken over the role. We would like to formally welcome her to the position and hope she finds it to be a rewarding and enjoyable opportunity to further interact with students.
New Indigenous Garden
We have recently constructed a new indigenous garden on the southern side of the Gymnasium. Planted with a variety of trees and shrubs native to the area, the new landscaping provides easier access to the Amphitheatre and Student Centre. It's a fantastic new addition to the space and we ask students to respect the plantings by sticking to the pathways provided.
School Student Broadband Initiative
Free school student broadband for eligible families. The program is primarily intended as an affordability measure to help those with school-aged children who may be experiencing financial hardship. Further information can be found at this link https://www.anglicarevic.org.au/student-internet/ or alternatively, at the General Office.

Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club runs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning, from 8:30am in the Student Centre. This is a joint initiative of the Victorian Government and Foodbank and provides students with a variety of free, nutritious breakfast options including toast, muesli, yoghurt, pancakes, toasted sandwiches and fruit. Students are most welcome to come and help themselves to whatever they feel like on the day.
Doctors In Schools
Our fortnightly Doctors in Schools Service (DISS) is a valuable resource that operates throughout the year. We are incredibly fortunate to have access to doctors onsite and it is important that we utilise it where possible. If any students would like to arrange an appointment, please see either Jackie Kerr or Andrea Smith.
2023 BSC School Magazine
We still have some copies of the 2023 School Magazine for any families who did not receive a copy at the end of the year. If you are interested, they are available for collection from the General Office.
