Ryan’s Rambling

Dear Families,

We are almost at the end of Term Two. Our staff and students are all looking forward to a well-earned break!

Sadly, our school has been affected by a lot of sickness this week. We have had reported infections of Influenza A and B, which have left a number of our young people ill. We hope that those affected recover soon! There’s nothing worse than seeing your own children unwell.

Today, our school celebrated our Japanese Program with a wonderfully successful Japanese Day. From Taiko Drumming to Anime Drawing to a plethora of incredible stalls coordinated by our Grade Six students, our children had a fantastic time. Bec Sensei has been working for many, many hours to ensure today was a success and I thank her for all of her efforts.

Thank you to the many parents who have booked in a time for our Student Led Conferences on Wednesday of next week. Our staff are looking forward to celebrating all the learning that has occurred with our amazing students! I am proud of each and every one of our young people and I look forward to hearing about how the conferences go.  We thank you all for supporting our Student Led Conferences by allowing us to quarantine time and space for our staff to meet with you all. Another reminder that students are only required to be at school during the conferences.

School Reports will be deployed to Sentral on Tuesday of this week. This should be completed by the time you pick your children up from school.  Please take the time to read the comments and share all of the great things that our staff have written with your child.

Please stay safe and warm this weekend. See you all next week.  As next Friday is the final day of term, we have a 2:30pm dismissal.

Ryan
