Soccer

The soccer matches took place at Freeway Reserve.

In the first week the Soccer A Team didn't win any games but one game they played was a draw. They played 4 games on the first day. In the second week the Soccer A Team won 1 out of 3 games, lost 1 and drew 1. In the  A team’s final match, they were down 2-1 and then were lucky enough to win the game 5-2 by scoring 4 goals in 10 minutes.

The B Team however, lost all of their games but they played strong defense in trying to stop the other teams from scoring goals.

Great job to both teams for doing us proud.

A big thank you to Mr Cotesta, Peita (Connor’s mum) and Jeff (Noah’s dad) for their support on the day and assisting with refereeing games and keeping spirits high.

Netball

In the first week for netball the mixed team did a great job! For the first game they sadly lost 17-1 but after that game they were unstoppable. The second game they played we won 12-3. The third game we won again 8-4 and then the last game we won 4-0.

In the second week we only had 2 games which went really well. The first game we went up against another school’s A Team and tied 4-4. Then, the second game we sadly lost 16-2 which was our last game. After this we watched the girls A team finals which was a great game but unfortunately they lost 14-5 but was definitely an amazing game to watch. Overall I think we did a fantastic job these last 2 weeks.

Softball

The softball team had their matches at Gladeswood Reserve in Mulgrave. The teams were split into a girls team and mixed team to represent our school .

Our softball girls team did great!

The girls team won 3 games overall but learnt a lot about sportsmanship, fair play and persistence. In week 1, they won 3 out of 5 games. In week 2 they didn’t win any games but still tried very hard.

The mixed team won 3 out of 4 games in week 1 and won 1 out of 3 in week 2. The softball teams versed St. Justins, St. John Vianneys, Mulgrave, Good Shepherd and Brandon Park. Sadly none of the teams made it to finals but had a great experience. Great job to both teams, well done.

Thank you to Miss T for running softball for the zone on the two days and Vicki H for supporting the girls team on both weeks.

Footy

This year, we played footy for Winter Inter School Sports. We played our games at Mulgrave Reserve over the last 2 Fridays. The A Team won 4 out of 6 games. They also got the chance to play in the B Team grand final. This gave us the opportunity to play another game and get a feel for what a Grand Final is like. Throughout the game we all subbed in, taking turns and together we won the match. Overall, the A Team placed 3rd and just missed out on making the Grand Final.

The B Team also did an excellent job of representing our school. The team tried really hard and won 3 out of 7 games.

Thank you to Mr Stokes for supporting us and to the parent helpers who joined along to see us in action.
