Middle School

Tara Librio

As Semester 1 ends, we want to take a moment to congratulate all of our Middle School students on a fantastic effort throughout a very full and busy term.

It’s been a big semester filled with learning and growth—students have participated in a wide range of activities including assemblies, school sporting events, and for our Year 10’s, a particularly demanding time with their first experience of exams followed by their Work Experience placements.

We’re proud of how our students have managed their responsibilities and represented the school with maturity and enthusiasm.

Looking ahead to next term, we begin the important process of subject selection for 2026, and our Year 9 students can start getting excited for the much-anticipated City Experience. We look forward to another engaging and productive term together.

Have a safe and restful break!

Celebration Assemblies

Over the last week or two, both Year 9 and Year 10 students attended their End of Semester Celebration Assemblies. These assemblies were a fantastic opportunity to recognise and celebrate student achievements across a wide range of areas. Awards were presented to students who consistently demonstrated our three core school values—Respect, Responsibility, and Excellence—as well as those who achieved attendance above 90%. Congratulations to all award recipients!

Year 10 Exams

Our Year 10 students recently completed their first set of formal exams, marking an important milestone in their school journey. We were thrilled to see outstanding attendance—our data shows it was the best we’ve had in many years. Over the space of a week and a half, most students sat six exams, including two-hour exams for English and Maths, and one-hour exams for all other elective subjects. Throughout the exam period, students demonstrated exceptional focus, positive behaviour, and a strong commitment to doing their best. Their teachers were particularly impressed with the mature and respectful way they approached each exam. It was clear that they were resilient, pushing themselves to achieve and stepping up to the challenge. This exam experience has not only tested their academic knowledge but also helped them build valuable skills in time management, perseverance, and independent learning. These are essential foundations as they prepare to transition into Senior School next year. We are incredibly proud of the way our Year 10s approached this important step.

Altitude Day

Some of our Year 9 students, along with students from other year levels, recently took part in Altitude Day — an inspiring event focused on developing leadership skills and encouraging positive community influence.

Throughout the day, participants engaged in activities that built confidence, teamwork, and communication skills, all essential qualities of strong leaders. They also enjoyed the opportunity to connect with peers from different schools, creating new friendships and broadening their perspectives.

Altitude Day was a valuable experience for all involved, leaving our students motivated and ready to make a positive impact within the school and the wider community.

We’re proud of all our students who participated and look forward to seeing their leadership journeys continue to grow!

Uniform- Embracing College Pride This Winter

As we move into the colder months, we want to take a moment to celebrate our Middle School students for proudly wearing the correct College uniform. Your commitment to representing our school with pride not only shows respect for our community but also fosters a sense of belonging and unity among all students.

A gentle reminder to layer appropriately underneath your college uniform to stay warm during this season. Please note that hoodies are not permitted as part of the uniform.

Wearing the uniform correctly is more than just a dress code—it’s a way to demonstrate your pride in being part of our college community. Let’s continue to uphold these standards and support one another with pride and respect.

Thank you for your cooperation and enthusiasm!
