The focus on documenting student’s learning growth in place of letter grades this semester has progressed positively and we are pleased to be publishing our 2025 Semester One Reports in alignment with our updated reporting processes.
This approach focuses on your child’s growth and progress, helping them understand their next steps in learning. By emphasising growth, we encourage students to strive for their personal best and reach their full potential.
Attitudes to Learning
Families have been receiving regular feedback reflecting on students’ Attitudes to Learning and Classroom Behaviours through progress reports completed on a 6 week cycle; the 3rd cycle for this semester being included in the Semester One Report summary.
Attendance
A summary of the number of sessions each student has been present in each subject.
Class Percentage is listed for each subject. Class Percentage is calculated by the number of Sessions Present + Late out of the total number of Sessions Run. It does not account for being involved in other school events such as sport or leadership activities.
Semester Reports
Semester Reports will be published at the end of terms 2 and 4 and comprise a summary of achievement of Common Assessment Tasks (CATs) for years 7 – 10, the Victorian Curriculum Achievement Standard demonstrated and/or VCE/VET/VM Outcomes completed for each subject.
Common Assessment Tasks (CATs)
CATs for Year 7 – 10 include selected pieces of work assessed against The Victorian Curriculum Assessment Standards with level of achievement identified as:
Located in Compass Learning Tasks, CATs comprising information including feedback on learning growth and achievement have been available to students and families throughout the semester.
This feedback provides valuable insights into individual progress, strengths, and areas for improvement and we encourage you to read them in partnership with your child to reflect on their learning journey throughout the semester.
For VCE/VM students, performance will be indicated as Satisfactory or Not Satisfactory completion of Outcomes and Competent or Not Yet Competent achievement for VET courses.
