It’s been a busy and exciting term in sport at Diamond Valley College, with our students taking part in Athletics, Cross Country, and Interschool Sport. From the track to the trails, our students have shown resilience, teamwork, and competitive spirit. Here’s a look at what we’ve achieved across May and June:
A huge congratulations to our incredible team who competed at the Regional Cross Country Championships at the Kilmore Race Track. Despite the mud, hills, and tough conditions, our students delivered outstanding results:
🏆 DVC was crowned Regional Champions in three age groups:
An amazing effort from every athlete – we’re so proud of your determination and team spirit! Students who qualified will compete at the State Cross Country on July 24 (Week 1, Term 3).
Congratulations to the students who represented DVC at the Victorian Secondary Schools Orienteering Championships at Woodlands Park. Many were first-time competitors, and they rose to the occasion with teamwork and enthusiasm.

We’re thrilled to announce that Diamond Valley College are the 2024 Division Track & Field Champions, winning by nearly 200 points – a title we haven’t held in many years!
Over 50 students have now qualified for the Regional Championships in September. A huge congratulations to all participants, especially the following first-place winners:
Liam Carroll, Sienna Beddoe, Owen Burchfield, Daisy Whyte, Ben Hodgson, Grace Robinson, Maggie Spriggs, Adam Huybers, Sophie Elliot, Evie Watson, Ruby Moore, Jack Kynes, Charlotte Smith, Keanu Khosravi, Imogen McIntosh, Jacob Sutton, Beau Mason – just to name a few!
Students from all year levels represented DVC in AFL, Netball, Soccer, and Badminton, showing great enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and teamwork.

Named in the School Sport Victoria State Swimming Team, Ruby will compete in Brisbane on July 26. | Selected for the SSV State 12&U AFL Team, Ryder will represent Victoria and wear the “Big V’ in Maroochydore, QLD on August 3. | Chosen for the SSV 12&U State Netball Team, Shyla will compete at the Australian National Championships in Ballarat on October 25. |
