Hello Parents, Carers, Students and Diamond Valley College Community,
As Term 2 draws to a close today, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our entire community of students, staff, and families, for your continued dedication, enthusiasm, and resilience throughout the first half of the academic year. It has indeed been a busy, productive, and rewarding term with much accomplished both in and out of the classroom.
Term 3 will commence on Monday, 21 July, marking the start of Semester 2. This will be an exciting period filled with new opportunities, challenges, and achievements. We hope you have received our Semester 2 calendar, outlining key dates and important events.
Please note a minor correction regarding our scheduled Curriculum Day. The correct date for the Curriculum Day in Term 3 is Wednesday, 27 August, not 6 August as previously stated. We apologise for any confusion this may have caused. We will send further reminder notifications via Compass early next term to assist you planning ahead.
As we head into the holiday break, I encourage everyone to take some time to relax, recharge, and enjoy quality moments with family and friends. A restful break can make a significant difference, and we look forward to seeing our students return energised and enthusiastic for the second half of the year.
A reminder to our senior students, particularly those in Years 11 and 12, to balance relaxation with revision and preparation for the upcoming assessments. Take advantage of this time to consolidate your learning and seek support if needed, ensuring a confident start to Term 3.
On behalf of everyone at Diamond Valley College, I wish you all a safe, warm, and rejuvenating mid-year break. We eagerly await your return for another successful and rewarding semester.
Warm regards,
Sam Luck
