Principal's Message

Welcome to Term 3 at Leongatha Primary School
Dear Leongatha Primary School Community,
We are excited to welcome everyone back for the start of Term 3. As we begin the new term, we’re focusing on re-establishing the routines that support positive teaching, learning, and wellbeing across our school. A strong, consistent routine helps students feel confident, connected, and ready to thrive both academically and socially.
This week, we are also proud to be celebrating NAIDOC Week, a time to recognise and honour the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our students will be engaging in a full week of meaningful activities and learning experiences that reflect this year’s theme and deepen our understanding and respect for First Nations communities.
In other exciting news, congratulations to Nicola Davies, who placed 4th, and Lennox Morehouse, who placed 2nd in their recent Cross Country event—an outstanding achievement! Both students have qualified for the State Cross Country Championships on Thursday, July 24, and I’m personally looking forward to cheering them on and watching them represent our school with pride.
We look forward to a fantastic term ahead, filled with learning, growth, and community spirit. Thank you for your ongoing support in making Leongatha Primary School a great place to learn and grow.
Here’s to a successful and productive Term 3.
Warm regards,Warwick
