Term 2 Fundraiser – Cans & Container Recycling Update
So far, our Cans & Container Recycling Fundraiser has raised $137.70.
The goal of this fundraiser is to encourage the use of the Victorian Container Deposit Scheme and raise funds for new sports uniforms for our students!
Here's why we think this fundraiser is awesome:
- ♻️ It’s Free, Easy and Accessible: Everyone has access to cans. Families don’t have to buy anything extra to participate, just collect what they already use.
- 🌏 It’s Sustainable: It’s not just about money. It’s a hands-on way for students to recycle, reduce waste, and take care of our planet.
- 👫 It Builds Community Spirit: Students can be involved by inviting friends, family and neighbours to help them in their efforts.
- 🎯 It Supports Our Fundraising Goal: All funds raised will go to purchasing sports uniforms!
Here’s how you can help:
- We’ve placed red recycling bins on the east side of the hall and the west side of the main building (near both car parks) where you can drop off your eligible drink containers.
- You can also donate your refund directly at a recycling facility by selecting “Donate” and choosing Bunyip Primary School as your recipient (or screenshot the Zone ID barcode above).
- If you have a large amount to donate, and are having trouble getting to a facility yourself, let the office know and we’ll arrange for a Parents &Friends volunteer to meet with you for collection.
Thank you for supporting our efforts to make a positive environmental impact and raise funds for new sports gear.
Chook Shed Area
You might have noticed that the chook shed area has disappeared! Don’t worry, it’s all part of the plan.
Stay tuned, because this space is about to get an exciting upgrade, and we think it’s going to be fantastic!
Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club Breakfast Club runs every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning from 8.30am to 9.00am. All students are welcome—whether they've already had breakfast or not! It’s a warm, friendly space where kids can enjoy a bite to eat and chat with friends from other classes.
We’re always on the lookout for parent helpers to keep Breakfast Club running. Whether you can help regularly, or just fill in now and then, we’d love to hear from you. Let the office if you are available; we always appreciate help.
Free Food Table
Don’t forget to check out our Free Food Table, located in the Breakfast Club room. It’s stocked with a variety of goodies, including cereals, soups, tinned goods, hygiene items, and often fresh fruit. You’ll even find items carrots and a cordial drink in the fridge.
Please note - Students are not to access this table themselves; this is available for parents only.
P&F Meetings
A big thank you to everyone who joined us for our meeting this morning (Friday, June 20th) at 9.15am. It’s always lovely to see new and familiar faces.
Our next meeting will be held on Friday, August 15th at 9.15am. We’d love to see as many parents as possible come along. It’s a great way to stay connected, get involved, and support our wonderful school.
