Dear Families,

We are thankful for all our staff at Catholic Special School, their kindness, love and support of your children and each other is a true indication of the genuine respect they have of their school community.

We farewell our much-loved staff members this week. Juliana was a valued part of our school community, and her warmth, dedication, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. We extend our heartfelt sympathy and prayers to her sons and family during this difficult time. May they find comfort in the love and support of those around them.

This term has been a particularly busy and productive one across both campuses, and we thank you all for your continued support and engagement. As we conclude the term, we farewell Josh Page, who has served as Acting Deputy Head of Campus at St Patrick's Special School since the beginning of Term 1. We thank Josh for his contributions to the leadership team and wish him all the very best as he returns to Whitefriars School.

Looking ahead to Term 3, we share that Stephanie Grant - Head of Campus Our Lady of La Vang School, will be taking a period of long service leave. In her absence, we are pleased to welcome Sean Perry into the role of Head of Campus at Our Lady of La Vang School. Sean is well known to many in our community, and we are excited to have him return to Catholic Special School in this role.

It is with great pleasure that I announce the appointment of Mel Condon as Acting Deputy Head of Campus for Terms 3 and 4, 2025. Mel brings a depth of knowledge, experience, and a genuine passion for educational leadership to this role. I am also pleased to share that Jenny Halikias will be replacing Mel as the teacher in the Green Class. Jenny is an experienced educator currently working at Our Lady of La Vang and she is looking forward to joining our school community.

As the term draws to a close, we wish all our students, families, and staff a safe and restful holiday break. Thank you for your partnership throughout Term 2. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for Term 3 on Tuesday, July 22 2025.

Warm regards,

Shannon Correll
