Dear Parents/Guardians,
Thank You to the School Community
As we near the end of Term 2, I wanted to take a moment to thank all the staff, students and families for a successful semester of learning and growth.
Student Reporting Process
Student reports will be shared with families via XUNO on Thursday 3rd July. We encourage parents to read and reflect upon your child’s report and celebrate their successes. If you require a printed copy please contact the office.
Campaspe Boys Football
Congratulations to our boys team who went undefeated in our pool in Division 2 and made it through to the finals on Tuesday at the Campaspe competition in Moama in very wintery conditions. The boys played with determination, supported each other all day and showed great sportsmanship. They had a hard fought win against Tongala Primary which put us into the Grand Final where we met St Joes. A high quality game ended with us winning by 24 points. Great work boys! A shout out to Mr Rasmussen, Josh and Tobie for coaching and supporting the team on the day.
'Rochy' Playtime
On Tuesday we had so much fun at our final 'Rochy' playtime session for term 2. We welcome our little people back in week 2 of Term 3 on Tuesday 29th July. Please contact the office for an enrolment for if you have joined us yet.
Casual Dress Day
Students are invited to bring a gold coin donation and come to school out of uniform (casual dress) on Monday 30th.
Staffing Update
At the end of Term 2, we say goodbye to Mrs McNeilly who has been teaching the P-2 Performing Arts program and Mr Ringin who has been teaching Grade 5/6 PE . We thank them both for help this term.
We welcome back Mrs Mangan from her long service leave and Miss Blackman from her role as the Acting principal at Nanneella.
We also welcome Education support staff, Kylie Burns and Brittany Leddin, to our RPS team who will begin at the start of Term 3.
End of Term Two
Friday 4th July is the end of Term Two. Students will be dismissed at 2.20pm.
Their Care will provide care for students from 2.20pm.
Beginning of Term Three
The first day of Term Three is Monday 21st July.
Curriculum Day
Wednesday 13th August is the next Curriculum Day. Students do not attend school on this day. (Except for VSS Spectacular students who will be in Melbourne).
Lost Property - Uniform
Our lost property collection is steadily growing and sadly many items are unnamed. We do our best to return lost items but they typically end up in the BER. As the term progresses, there seems to be more and more jumpers being left in the yard, on the oval and at the play equipment. Please assist us by naming all your child’s school clothing and reminding your child to take greater care for their property. All unclaimed uniform will be taken to the op-shop at the end of this term.
Happy and Safe Holidays
As this is the last full newsletter published before the end of term, I wish everyone a safe, relaxing and enjoyable break. We look forward to everyone back on Monday 21st July.
