Thanks to the wonderful Deacon and Walsh families for taking such great care of our school chickens the last few weekends. We hope you got lots of eggs and baked lots of delicious goodies with them, yum!

School Holiday Chicken Duty Roster-Thank you!

Thank you to all of the amazing families who were able to volunteer for school holiday chicken duty. The roster has now been filled.

Remember to send in any photos of you with the chickens, we would love to see them!

NEW! Fresh Free Range Eggs for sale!

You can purchase our fresh free range eggs for only $5 for ½ dozen. They will be available to purchase in passive play before and after our school assembly on Mondays. But be quick as they are sold very quickly!

Delicious lemons and limes from our fruit trees are also for sale. 

We are also selling our organic worm juice which is a wonderful fertiliser for your garden. It is collected fresh from our worm farms here at school! Buy a bottle for only $2 this week.

St John’s students love having the chickens at school. All the money we make is put back into buying food and other necessities for them.

St John’s is a Wrapper Free School - Help us to  reduce our waste!

Gardening with Jan!

The gardening club students have been very busy in the garden with Jan over the last couple of weeks. As well as continuing to nourish the garden beds they have planted out several different crops to grow as supplementary feed for the chickens. The chooks will be so happy for a yummy treat! 

All interested students are able to help Jan with the veggie garden at lunchtimes on Thursdays.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the Environment Team’s initiatives this semester. The students come up with many great ideas and it’s wonderful to implement some of them and see everyone getting behind them.
