Year 5 and 6 Sports Gala Day

Winter Sports Gala Day - Sports Report from the Year 6 Sport Leaders

On the 23rd of June, we participated in Gala Day. This is a day when we play sports against other schools. I played soccer. My team was lucky enough to be in the B division, which meant that we could go through to the finals if we won enough. We won 1 of our games and tied 3. This was enough to qualify for the finals. It was a great experience and my whole team enjoyed it and played together really well.

We arrived at the stadium excitedly and were organised into our teams, ready to play netball. I was with a great team including some of my friends. We had tried hard for all our games and played really well against other local schools. We didn't mind if we won or lost, we just had fun, did our best, supported each other and had teamwork on our side. The Netball teams had played well and one of them got into the finals. It was a great day.

Year 3/4 Inquiry

This term in our Geography unit, the Year 3/4 students researched types of natural vegetation, animals and climates in different countries around the world. The students chose a country of interest to research and presented the information in a poster.
