Principal's Message

The Jubilee Prayer (adapted)

Father in heaven,

may the faith you have given us

reawaken in us the blessed hope

for the coming of your Kingdom.

May those seeds transform from within us

a new heaven and a new earth

Pilgrims in Hope

Dear St. Andrew’s School Community,

The 2025 Jubilee Year, also known as the Pilgrim Jubilee Year, is a special Holy Year declared by the Catholic Church, celebrated every 25 years. It is a time of spiritual renewal, pilgrimage, and forgiveness, with a central focus on gaining indulgences through acts of faith and devotion. Pope Francis has announced that the theme for the 2025 Jubilee is “Pilgrims of Hope.” This reflects a call for the faithful to journey in faith, seek reconciliation, and spread hope in a world facing various challenges.

At St. Andrew’s School, we value learning, faith, unity, and hope. The 2025 Jubilee Year logo reflects these values. It shows four figures embracing, symbolizing our shared journey. We use this logo to remind us of our faith and the hope that strengthens us, even in tough times.

The logo highlights faith as a guide in life. The figures represent people moving together toward the cross, a symbol of faith and lasting hope. It reminds us that in hard times, we must stay united and support each other.

The front figure holds the cross, showing faith and hope, especially in challenges. Rough waves below symbolize life’s struggles, but the cross extends downward as an anchor, representing strength and stability.

The cross bends toward people, showing that faith is active. It calls us to help and serve others. At the base, Pilgrims in Hope leads our way.

As a school built on faith and learning, let us continue to move forward together, anchored in hope, united in purpose, and ready to support one another.

Regards,

Brian Martin
