Matilda Greenhill (Year 10), who has been selected as a ball kid to represent the state at the 2026 Australian Open in Melbourne. This amazing opportunity comes after her dedication and hard work as a volunteer for the second year running at the 2025 Hobart International Tennis Tournament.

But that's not all – Matilda recently had the chance to share her excitement on air with Kaz and Tubes from Triple M Breakfast. She spoke about the thrill of being up close and personal with tennis superstars, making this achievement even more special. What an incredible journey and opportunity for Matilda! We are so proud of her and can't wait to see her shine at the Australian Open.

Riley Causby, Georgia Scharvi, Imogen Ransley and Paige Nowland (Year 9), who participated in Basketball Tasmania's State Development Program during the school holidays. The program is designed to identify and develop the skills and basketball IQ of aspiring young players, with the group enjoying the opportunity to learn from top coaches and get a taste of what it's like to compete at the national level. Well done, Riley, Georgia, Imogen and Paige – your future is bright!
