St Patrick's Before & After School Care

This week at oshc we have enjoyed the gingerbread play dough. Children enjoyed smelling, touching and creating Christmas cut outs and designs. “Mmmmm it smells like gingerbread men”. “It smells like Christmas “. “It’s so warm to touch, why is the play dough warm?”. Children had many conversations around the warm soft playdough and spoke about what they were designing. 

Hairdresser home corner this week children used recycled bottles of perfume and hair products to design hair styles and beauty extras. Children enjoyed smelling the recycled bottles of perfume and used their imagination to use the products on educators and dolls. Conversation evolved around what products were originally in the bottles and what they were for….. 

Children got creative throughout the week creating their Christmas Santa sacks. We started with a table of four children and ended up extending the table to ten at a time, everybody enjoying creating their sacks for themselves and family members. We used paint marker pens….

Kingston Council is proud to partner with St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School to offer a fun and exciting Before and After School Program that operates each day of the school term (excluding public holidays) in a supervised, relaxed, safe and fun environment. Each program has a dedicated Qualified Educator along with our highly qualified and experienced Educator team. Sessions offer a mix of structured and unstructured indoor and outdoor games, art, craft, cooking and special events.

Children are provided with a heathy and delicious breakfast in the Before School Program and nutritious afternoon tea during the After School Program. To make After School Care even more fun incursions and special visitors are a regular feature,  past special incursions have included Bunnings workshops, Yoga, visits by Local Sporting Teams and Silent Disco to name a few..
