Physical Education and Sport
Foundation to Year Two Athletics Day
In Week Nine our Foundation to Year Two students came together for a big day of Athletic events.
Our students showed great encouragement, collaboration and lots of team spirit as they competed in athletic events. From lightning-quick sprints to soaring high jumps, our young athletes showcased their talents and enthusiasm. The air buzzed with excitement as friends, classmates, and competitors cheered each other on during thrilling races, relays, and challenging field events.
Congratulations to all of the students who participated in our Athletics Day. A big shoutout to all of the parents and teachers who supported and competed in the day.
Year Three Students in Physical Education
This term in PE the Year Three students have been learning the basic skills of gymnastics. We focused on the basic shapes in gymnastics, learnt how to do a forward, backwards and sausage roll safely and worked together to create some amazing supports. Some of us even did cartwheels and handstands!
Year Four to Six students in Physical Education
This term in PE the Year Four to Six students have been learning the basic skills of Volleyball. We have been focusing on the passing skills, being ‘a dig, set and spike’, along with learning how to move for the ball and serve. We have also focused on learning the rules and the scoring system. The Year Five cohort were lucky enough to have four coaches from Volleyball Victoria to teach us the skills and get us ready for Year Six Summer Sports in 2025.
Jump Rope for Heart
On Friday the 29th of November, the students took action and raised funds for the Heart Foundation, while at the same time showing the importance of keeping fit and healthy.
Thank you to everyone who brought in a gold coin donation, we raised $638.40! Our donation will go towards helping to find a cure in the research of heart disease.
