A new year of growth and learning at our Early Learning Centre

Welcome to an exciting new year at our Early Learning Centre (ELC)! As we embark on this fresh season of growth and discovery, we are thrilled to welcome all the new children and their families to our Emmaus community. We also extend a warm greeting to our returning families, who will continue their learning journey with us in preschool. This year promises to be full of wonderful opportunities for both new and familiar faces as we grow together in knowledge, friendship, and faith.

At our Early Learning Centre, we believe that each child is uniquely created by God with special gifts, talents, and abilities. The Bible tells us in Psalm 139:14 (NIV), “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” This verse reminds us of the inherent value of each child as a beautiful creation of God, and it is our privilege to guide them in their learning journey.

During our last orientation visit, the excitement among the children was infectious! It was a joyful and heartwarming time as they explored their new classroom environments, engaged in fun activities, and began forming connections with both their peers and our dedicated staff. Although there were a few nerves as they adjusted to the new surroundings, the warmth and encouragement from our team helped ease any anxiety. Watching the children begin to form friendships, share toys, and engage in collaborative play was a beautiful reminder of the community we are building together. These early moments are so important as they lay the foundation for a positive, supportive learning environment where everyone feels safe, valued, and excited. We look forward to continuing this journey with each of them as they grow in confidence and begin to settle into their new routines.

For our new families, we want you to know that you are now part of a loving and supportive community. Our teachers and staff are committed to helping your child thrive in a safe and encouraging environment. We recognise the transition to ELC can be both exciting and challenging, and we are here to walk alongside you as you navigate this new chapter. We are confident that your child will not only grow in knowledge and skills but will also experience the love and grace of God through every interaction.

As a Centre, we strive to teach children about the love of Jesus, the importance of kindness, and the value of community. Through Bible stories, prayers, and experiences rooted in faith, we hope to instill in each child a strong understanding of God's love for them. As they develop friendships, share with others, and explore the world around them, we want them to know they are never alone – God is with them every step of the way.

As we begin this new year, we encourage parents to stay connected with us through regular communication and involvement in your child’s learning experience. We value the partnership between home and school, and we look forward to collaborating with you to make this year a memorable and enriching one for your child.
